Universal Joint Dimensions

With reference to your Universal Joint, version 2 exploded diagram, what is the diameter of the T-piece bar? I have acquired a VI Trains class 37 chassis which requires two new cardan shafts, and am wondering whether this one will fit the existing sockets.

The diameter of the bar which fits across the drive socket is about 1/16" in dia.
